Synopsis

When a high school student in Harlem is targeted by a professional assassin, quadriplegic forensic expert Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs take the case. The key to the killer's motive seems hidden in the girl's research paper about a long-dead civil rights activist. They must race through the streets of New York to find the connection between a 140-year-old mystery and a modern-day threat.
