This is a beautiful book and the story kept me engaged . I liked some of the characters , hated some , but never bored of them. The characters grow through the course of the story and it felt like they were real people instead of fiction. Kudos to the author for creating such a believable novel where the pain , heart-break, love and celebrations seem all too real.
The story spans 3 generations and is a classic ( yet scandalous to some folks ) book. I personally enjoyed this and was surprised at my own ability to keep reading this through the night ( which is saying a lot for someone who is easily distracted)
