The terminal list
Lieutenant Commander James Reece is a Navy SEAL on the last combat deployment of his career. His entire team dies in an ambush, and so do the aircrew sent in to pull them out. He comes home carrying the loss of every man he led.
Then the people closest to him are murdered on the day he returns. Reece learns that the ambush was no act of a foreign enemy. It was part of a conspiracy reaching the highest levels of the American government, and his family and teammates were its victims.
With no family left and no chain of command holding him, Reece turns more than a decade of constant warfare on the people responsible. He goes after targets in the upper reaches of power, and he ignores both the laws of combat and the rule of law to do it.
This is a political thriller built on revenge, with a fast pace and steady suspense. The violence is ruthless and the protagonist is an operator with nothing to lose. The story also looks at the pull of absolute power and at the people who will do anything to hold it.
