this book was the last i received in my orders, so I had read christian’s story, and ronan’s story before i read this, and i didn’t know that I would love nico as much as I did after i finished reading the book.

Tropes : falling for sister’s fiancé, contemporary romance, mafia romance, forbidden romance (slightly).
Pacing : medium.
Characters : i) elena and nicolas — elena does not like nicolas at the first time they meet, she glares at him. They mutually hate each other, but everytime he comes to their house for her sister — adriana, she feels warm, and tingly, and might have tried to get his attention, the tension between them is chefs kiss, their first kiss in the car, nico burns the gas station, because the guy touches elena without consent, my dark romance men love to burn s•••, and i’m here for it. Elena and nico both have some kind of contact everytime they are alone, and their family can’t see them. The sneaking around behind everyone’s backs is perfect. Since my moral conpass is non- existent when it comes to books, i loved reading more about nico and Elena.
Nico loved her hair, wanted to fist it in his fingers and pull, and he does that too. now, I am writing this review after days of reading that book, so I don’t remember much, so go read other reviews for more information.
Elena’s father refused to give elena’s hand to nico, and decided to give adriana, but nico always wanted elena.
Even when he was engaged to adriana. And even if things happened with Elena and nico while he was engaged, adriana didn’t consider him hers, so it was not cheating. Adriana was in love with the gardener who worked for the abellis. Nico also kills oscar, the man elena is forced to marry by her father, so he can marry me. (My man is insane, yeah, i know) 😌 Nico also gives elena his card for her expenses, because she told him that she spends a lot, even though she didn’t.
I loved nico more, but not less than Christian. I love that man more in the whole series.
Side characters : i loved nona, loved how was open and so supportive to the girls. Sebastian gave me the creeps, so i might not be that open to read his story.
What I loved : i loved the story, and the plot. I loved how the events unfolded until Elena and nico got together.
What I struggled with : nothing.
Loveable characters or not : Lovable. Yes.
Strong character development : character development — uhm, it’s kinda complicated.
Plot driven / character driven : a mix.
Favorite quotes/ highlights : my favorite part of the story was the moment when she initates and nico lets out a little “ah, f•••!” and everything after they get together. (It is kinda hard to go pick up the paperback and write all my favorite quotes, i’m just tired)
Any other details : the ace card on the cover could be the reference for ace of spades described for nico.
There are questionable things that nico does, which i haven’t mentioned because i’m pathetically gone.
