It wasn't the worst book I've read...but I didn't finish it. I found the writing to be elementary. I felt the author had way too much "tell" and not enough "show". I chugged along and got about a quarter of the way through before I started rolling my eyes at the story, specifically when the dolphin reappeared. There were so many times I caught myself saying "yeah, right" in my head that I decided there are too many great books out there to read to waste time on one I found so irritating in style and foolish in story. I wouldn't give it 1 star like I do with most books I don't finish, simply because I easily could have finished this one - quickly - but I didn't really want to.
