The Student
Francesca is twenty-four and starting university late, a scholarship student rebuilding a life after her parents' deaths. When a favourite professor points her toward a well-paid ghostwriting job, it looks like the break she needs.
Her client will only be known as Dr. B. He refuses to meet her, disguises his voice, and communicates on his own terms. What he does not disguise is how much he already knows about Frankie — her past, her habits, the details she has told no one. As the manuscript she is being paid to write starts to mirror her own life, she can no longer tell where the fiction stops.
H.M. Lynn's psychological thriller is built from very short chapters and a tightening sense of surveillance, aimed squarely at readers who like their suspense claustrophobic and fast.
A mature scholarship student who takes on an anonymous ghostwriting contract.
The anonymous client who conceals his voice and identity.
