Synopsis

A former priest named Jared Osborne is sent by his religious order to investigate an enigmatic teacher known only as "B," suspected of being the Antichrist. Following B across Germany and into his circle of followers, Jared is drawn into B's argument that industrial civilization's "Taker" culture is driving humanity toward collapse, and that a return to tribal ways of living — a "Great Remembering" — offers the only way back. Continuing the philosophical project begun in Ishmael, the novel widens its lens from one student's dialogue to a movement confronting the modern world.
