I can't effing believe I finished this!! I took so many breaks while reading this that it seemed I'll never reach the end!
I liked this book, didn't LOVE it, I liked it, a mild love tbh. The book is very rich with stories, intricate, detailed, magical etc... But the main story got lost in a sea of small(ish) ones. The writer was too ambitious imo, I know a lot of people regard this book as their favorite and as a masterpiece and to each their thing. I can see that, yet, I've read intricate stories that were much more beautiful and better written and more complete than this one. At a certain point this book became tiresome for me, while at others I got so immersed in the story. The liking wasn't linear. But anyways, I survived the Starless Sea, though many parts are still a mystery to me, or too subtle and in my constant breaks I lost the details, but still, this book was a challenge and I read it and finished it, and I'm glad it's over!
