Mische, a newly turned vampire, faces execution for murdering her sire until she's saved by Asar, a scarred prince of shadow. Forced into a perilous journey to the underworld to resurrect the god of death, Mische is secretly commanded by her sun god to betray Asar by killing the very deity they seek to revive. As they navigate trials and confront their pasts, a forbidden attraction to Asar threatens to invoke the wrath of gods, forcing Mische to choose between redemption and damnation.
