Synopsis

Beatrice Prior stands where every sixteen-year-old in her city stands: five factions, five futures, five lives, and one choice. She has a plan — the bravest one, leaving Abnegation and her family behind for Dauntless.

Then tragedy strikes at the Choosing Ceremony, and Tris makes a different choice than the one readers know. It draws her into an underground rebellion, and toward a boy with secrets as dangerous as her own — a boy with only a number for a name.

The Sixth Faction is not a sequel or a prequel but an alternate-universe reimagining of the Divergent world, and the first book in a new duology.
