The Sisters Who Were Promised by A.M. Rivers is a fantasy story about four royal sisters separated at a young age where each sister has her own personality and secrets. The book is set in the kingdom of Linnosa. When the King and Queen die suddenly, everything changes. The sisters are family, but they also have their own goals. The story moves at a good pace, mixing quiet moments with exciting adventure. The book keeps you guessing who to trust. The ending has a big plot twist that I both saw coming and did not at the same time. There are complex characters, court intrigue, betrayal, and unexpected twists.
