3.5/5
Hear me out, the book is good, intense, it kept me interested for a long time, it's a good retelling of the Illiad from a female captive point of view, all was good at first! THEN came Achilles! Chapters started being told from his point of view and I am overstuffed with stories about the effing greatest Greek warrior and his best friend ( ha. ha.) Patroclus. Well it was interesting at a certain level to fictionally take a dive in his psyche (especially when he was grieving) but I just can't with him anymore. I was expecting this to be completely centered around the women. But it deviated. Anyways, off to read Women of Troy and probably more of Achilles sigh
