Synopsis

In 1830s Australia, a young English convict escapes his chains and flees into the dense, unfamiliar bush. He is taken in by a tribe of Aboriginal people, whose world he struggles to understand while writing a series of letters to the woman he was meant to marry. This lyrical story explores the clash of cultures and the sensory experience of a man lost in a landscape that defies his expectations.
