Synopsis

During the tumultuous French Revolution, a mysterious English nobleman known only as the Scarlet Pimpernel dedicates himself to rescuing aristocrats from the guillotine. His daring exploits make him a legend, but also a target for the ruthless French authorities. Meanwhile, his wife, Lady Marguerite Blakeney, finds herself caught between her love for her seemingly foppish husband and her admiration for the elusive hero.
