Synopsis

The Rose Field is the third and final novel in Philip Pullman's Book of Dust trilogy, set years after the events of The Secret Compass and The Golden Compass. Lyra Silvertongue, now a young woman, is separated from her dæmon Pantalaimon and sets out on a perilous journey across a vast, culturally diverse world to find him. Joined by her former teacher Malcolm Polstead and the scholar Abdel Ionides, she navigates the Magisterium's reach, the mystery of the alethiometer, and the bond between humans and their dæmons. The novel blends adventure, mysticism, and a poignant coming-of-age arc as Lyra confronts the consequences of her past and the uncertainty of her future. A rich, atmospheric conclusion to one of the most acclaimed fantasy series of the 21st century.
