The Romanov Royal Martyrs

The Romanov Royal Martyrs
Synopsis
The Romanov Royal Martyrs: What Silence Could Not Conceal is a psychographic biography of Tsar Nicholas II and his family, produced by the Holy Monastery of St. John the Forerunner of Mesa Potamos in Cyprus. First published in Greek in 2018, with an English edition in 2019, the 512-page book draws on previously unpublished letters, testimonies, diaries, and memoirs to examine the family's character and faith.
The research team includes Romanov historians Nicholas B.A. Nicholson, Helen Azar, Helen Rappaport, Sophie Law, Pyotr Multatuli, and George Hawkins. The book revisits major events of Nicholas II's reign, including the 1905 revolution, Bloody Sunday, Russia's involvement in World War I, and the 1917 abdication, drawing its material from primary sources. It includes a 56-page photo insert and more than 200 black-and-white photographs, with some images colorized by artist Olga Shirnina.
