Synopsis

The second novel in The Walking Dead prequel series follows a new group of survivors, led by Lilly Caul, as they stumble into Woodbury seeking safety from the outbreak overrunning the world outside. What they find instead is a town under the total control of a man calling himself the Governor, whose method of maintaining order includes forcing prisoners into gladiatorial combat against zombies.

Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga continue building out the Governor's reign of terror from the perspective of the people unlucky enough to fall under it.
