This book was interesting, I have many mixed emotions about it.
I did enjoy reading The Replacement and enjoyed the basic idea of the story line. Do i think that some areas were weak and could have been better? Yes. The story was a bit confusing at first and i wasn't sure if i was reading the right book. Most of the description is given in the blurb at the back and it isn't until you are half way through that it explains it more.
There were a few more things which were confusing, like why the "creatures" had certain afflictions, what the remedies were etc. Questions which never got answered. However, this book did keep me gripped and wanting to continue, perhaps for this reason, i was reading to find out more and find out why things happened. It was a bit disappointing when it was never revealed.
The ending was okay. It wasn't perfect in any means but it wasn't horrible. I would have loved it fleshed out a bit more, for some characters to have had more of an appearance.
I did enjoy this book and would recommend it for a rainy day, it wasn't a game changer though.
