I don't know if it's ok to compare this book with PJO series or not, but I can't say I had the same connection with it. Maybe because I just read the first book, maybe because I knew more about greek mythology but I had zero idea about egyptian mythology and their gods, which is a shame. But loved how it showed how different they are, How down to earth were the egyptian gods. Also the way they used magic in this book was awesome.

Didn't like Carter much. He was dull, although got more interesting during the book, and I hope he gets better in next books. In the other hand, Sadie was amazing. Maybe I would like it better if she was the only narrator.

Overall really looking forward to read next books in the series and can't wait for the movies to come out.
