Synopsis

Disbarred lawyer Malcolm Bannister is sentenced to ten years in prison after being caught up in a racketeering case that wasn't his — the result of a shady real estate deal and a corrupt lobbyist. While serving time, he strikes a bargain with the FBI: give them the name of the man who murdered federal judge Raymond Fawcett, and they will let him out under witness protection. The plan works too well; Bannister is given a new identity as Max Reed Baldwin, but his knowledge of how the Bureau operates becomes dangerous in its own hands. As he rebuilds his life from scratch, he begins to methodically dismantle the system that wronged him.
