The Plays & Poems of Robert Greene; Volume 1

John Churton Collins brought to light the works of Robert Greene, editing and presenting his plays and poems for a new generation. His scholarship offers a clear look at Greene's contributions to literature.

Robert Greene (baptised 11 July 1558 – 3 September 1592) was an English author and dramatist of the Elizabethan era. Educated at Cambridge (BA 1580, MA 1583), he moved to London and became one of the "University Wits," writing prose romances, pamphlets and plays, most notably Friar Bacon and Friar Bungay. He is also remembered for Greenes, Groats-worth of Witte, a posthumously published pamphlet widely read as containing an early, hostile allusion to William Shakespeare. Source: en.wikipedia.or...
