Synopsis

Milo is a boy who's always bored, so when a mysterious tollbooth appears in his room, he decides to drive through it. He finds himself in the strange and wonderful Kingdom of Wisdom, a place that's fallen into disarray. With a watchdog named Tock and a rather boastful Humbug, Milo sets off on a journey to bring back the lost princesses of Rhyme and Reason, discovering the joy of learning along the way.

Norton Juster is an architect and planner, professor emeritus of design at Hampshire College, and the author of a number of highly acclaimed children's books, including The Dot and the Line, which was made into an Academy Award-winning animated film.
