Synopsis

A companion piece to Lynn Painter's Better Than the Movies, not a standalone novel.

The party scene from the original book is told again here, this time from Wes Bennet's perspective rather than Liz Buxbaum's. Readers who spent Better Than the Movies inside Liz's head — watching her chase Michael and treat the boy next door as an irritant — get the same evening back from the other side, with Wes's running internal commentary on a girl who has not yet noticed what is happening.

It runs about twenty pages and is numbered 1.2 in the Better Than the Movies series. It is written for people who have already finished the first book; on its own it is a scene, not a story.
