Synopsis
Bones is a British vampire, and this book gives his account of the night he first meets Cat Crawfield, a half-vampire. The events are the ones Cat lived through, but here they are seen from his side, with his thoughts and feelings on the page.
The story retells the start of the relationship between Cat and Bones through his point of view. It follows the same early days as Halfway to the Grave, where Cat narrated, and it treats those days with a darker and more sensual edge.
Because Bones is the narrator, the book also reaches into places Cat could not see. It looks further into his past and into the vampire world he belongs to, adding background that the first telling left out.
The book is a paranormal romance and the second telling of a story already told once, so it suits readers who know the first and want the other view.
