The Only Harmless Great Thing

In an alternate 1920s, a group of women known as the Radium Girls, who paint watch dials with radioactive material, discover a strange connection to the elephants condemned to the electric chair. As their own bodies begin to betray them, they find a shared fate with these magnificent, exploited creatures. This story weaves together the tragic histories of human and animal suffering, exploring themes of exploitation, justice, and the unexpected bonds formed in the face of cruelty.
