Patrick Chamoiseau
Patrick Chamoiseau (born 3 December 1953 in Fort-de-France, Martinique) is a French novelist and essayist who writes in a French shaped by Martinican Creole. A co-author of the 1989 manifesto Éloge de la créolité with Jean Bernabé and Raphaël Confiant, he is a leading figure of the Créolité literary movement.
