Ryūnosuke Akutagawa
Japanese writer active in the Taishō period in Japan. He is regarded as the "father of the Japanese short story", and Japan's premier literary award, the Akutagawa Prize, is named after him.[
The Nose
A Buddhist priest with an unnaturally long nose that hangs past his chin becomes consumed by one thing: shortening it. When he learns of a technique from a distant temple, he sets out to convince everyone around him — and himself — that this is the most important matter in the world.
