Synopsis
Calvin and Sadie are newly engaged and expecting their first child, and they want one last trip before their lives reshape themselves around a baby. Shocking news reaches them before the vacation has properly begun.
The rental does not settle them. Its owners behave oddly, Sadie cannot shake the sense of being watched, and a further revelation cracks the foundation the two of them were standing on. Neither of them is sure who to trust, and someone knows exactly where they are.
Kiersten Modglin writes domestic suspense at close range — a small cast, a confined setting, and a marriage-in-waiting examined until it shows its seams.
