This was such an easy and enjoyable fantasy to get into. 🤍

I loved the atmosphere, the humor, and the overall concept of the story. The world-building was immersive without being overwhelming, which made it such a fun and fast read.

My absolute favourite character was the gargoyle. 😭 He completely stole every scene he was in. His humour was one of my favourite parts of the book, and I genuinely looked forward to every time he appeared.

My only small disappointment was that I guessed the final plot twist before it happened, and I didn’t completely buy the enemies-to-lovers transition. But aside from that, I had a really good time with this book.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fantasy that’s accessible, entertaining, and perfect for getting out of a reading slump. 📚✨

I wanted to enjoy this especially since it was one of my most anticipated reads. The story didn't hook me as I hoped it would, I did enjoy the 40-80% part of the story but it took a while for me to really dive into this one. I am still going to read the sequel because I'd like to see how it ends overall.

The fact that i have to wait until september until the next book is torture especially considering how this ended. I could barely sleep i was in so much distress. but amazing nonetheless 10/10 no notes.
