This one had me hooked in flashes, but it never fully sank its claws into me.

The atmosphere was gritty, the tension was there, and there were definitely moments that made me keep turning the pages. But I struggled to really connect with the characters, and some parts felt like they moved too quickly while others dragged.

It wasn’t a bad read by any means - I just kept waiting for it to hit harder than it did. I can see why people love it, but for me it landed somewhere in the middle. Entertaining enough to finish, just not one that’s going to stick with me.
