The Jealous Wife

Nora is pregnant and she and her husband have moved back to the town she grew up in, which is the sort of decision that looks straightforwardly good until you meet the neighbours.

The neighbour is Kelly. Recently widowed, warm, everybody's favourite person within a week. She and Nora were at school together, and Kelly is the reason Nora left this town and did not come back for years.

James Caine gives Kelly the run of the street and Nora nobody who will hear a word against her, and lets Kelly's intentions surface at her own pace. Nora is heavily pregnant, back in the place she escaped, being slowly relieved of her standing with everyone in it.
