We meet Leighton, a labor and delivery nurse. Callie, Leighton’s best friend and Hayes. Hayes is Callie’s brother and a catcher for the Chicago Colts baseball team. Unbeknownst to Callie, years earlier Leighton and Hayes shared a kiss, although Leighton ran away right after the kiss. Fast forward to the present- Callie is appointed guardian to her cousin Skylar’s 3 kids after an unfortunate accident takes place, killing Skylar and her husband. Even though Skylar and Leighton were cousins, their relationship was more like being sisters. As Leighton is coping with grief, work and now raising 3 kids, Hayes comes back into her life. What happens next? Let’s just say there’s many heartwarming, swoon worthy, some drama and laughter moments you definitely need to experience. I was fortunate to receive advanced copies of both the ebook and the audiobook. The audiobook has a full cast of narrators that made it even better! The way each character was brought to life and made the book even more enjoyable (and swoon worthy). You won’t be disappointed either way with this book. Although if you’re an audiobook lover, you’ll love listening to this one.
