For as much as I've enjoyed this series, until now, this book was a slog for me. I inhaled the first two books, but this one took me almost two months to finish. Granted, life has gotten a bit busier, but regardless I never quite felt like I needed "just one more chapter!"
I'm not sure if it was the absence of certain characters for hundreds of pages at a time, or what, this book just didn't get going to me until about 90% of the way through.
I think a nice break is in order before diving back into the fourth book.
