[Book Review] [Audiobook: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy _ Douglas Adams]

DON'T PANIC & CARRY A TOWEL.
Let me start off by saying that Stephen Fry is BRILLIANT. His rendition on Adams' text is unmatched.
Since i listened to it on audio, I couldn't take notes as much as i would on a physicial copy. I actually didn't think I'd need it. I couldn't be more wrong.
So, this won't be a full-on review in the usual sense, I'm simply laying out my scattered thoughts (check out my fellow Goodreads friends' reviews for an in-depth comprehension of the plot and other unearthly details):
Kudos on Marvin, the "electronic sulking machine", a depressed android: my favorite of all. It is said tat Marvin has an exceptionally large mind, which was later on confirmed: intelligent people are more prone to depression. (Stephen Fry really managed to bring the character to life and to make it more accurate)
Zaphod Beelblebrox is Donald Trump. I actually googled this thought I had, not hoping to find much, but to my surprise, I found this ingenious article written by John Gibson for Medium:

I couldn't have said it any better.
What's the best way to face economic recession, you may ask. To that question, the people of Magrathia answer: sleep through it.
That's to say that the themes in this book are numerous, going from the search for meaning, to communication, folly, amazement, exploration, politics, science, etc. (Adams even evokes police brutality at one time!)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is very humorous (i even wanted to go as far as to say Hilarious) and the narration made it all the more compelling. I was literally laughing out loud on many of the subtle (and not so subtle) jokes / puns Adams slid in this book. It was also a very enlightening, thought-propelling read.
What can I say: read this! You'll either hate or love it. I, for my part, loved it.
