The heavens may fall

Detective Max Rupert and attorney Boady Sanden find their friendship strained as they take opposing sides in a murder investigation. Max is convinced Jennavieve Pruitt was killed by her husband, Ben, while Boady is equally certain of his client's innocence. As the case progresses, both men grapple with their own past traumas: Max with the death of his wife, and Boady with a previous client he believes he failed. With student Lila Nash by his side, Boady is determined to redeem himself, as the truth about Jennavieve's death remains elusive until the very end.
