Synopsis

Commander George Krause leads a convoy of thirty-seven ships across the treacherous North Atlantic, tasked with delivering vital supplies to England. He must outwit and outmaneuver a relentless German U-boat wolfpack that outnumbers his fleet. For two days, Krause engages in a harrowing battle of wills against the enemy, pushing himself and his crew to the brink to protect the cargo and the lives aboard.

Cecil Scott Forester, an Englishman, was born in Cairo in 1899, the son of a British army officer. He was educated in London, and for a time he studied medicine. After a World War I stint in the infantry, however, he decided to be a poet. This was a shortlived pursuit and he soon turned to biography and fiction.
