Synopsis
This is a memory play about a family struggling in 1930s St. Louis. Tom Wingfield narrates the story of his mother, Amanda, and his sister, Laura, who is crippled by shyness and a fragile collection of glass animals. When Tom brings home a gentleman caller for Laura, the family's hopes and illusions are put to the test.
