Synopsis

Orphaned Cecilia Harcourt faces a difficult choice: a dull life with an aunt or marriage to a scheming cousin. Instead, she travels to the Colonies to find her injured brother, only to discover his best friend, Edward Rokesby, unconscious. To stay by his side, Cecilia claims to be his wife, a lie that becomes complicated when Edward awakens with no memory of their marriage.
