Synopsis

Samuel Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, finds himself resurrected on a mysterious planet alongside every human who ever lived. He dreams of building a massive iron steamboat to navigate the endless river, but he must contend with historical figures like King John of England and the enigmatic Ethicals who watch from the shadows. This second volume of the Riverworld series follows his struggle to secure resources and outmaneuver rivals in a world where death is only temporary.
