Synopsis

The Extra opens the Extra Series, a Hollywood-set romantic comedy sequence co-written by Megan Walker and Janci Patterson. Gabby Mays has no idea what she wants to do with her life, unlike her gorgeous roommate Anna-Marie, who has just landed a role on the hit soap opera Passion Medical.

When Gabby starts working as a recurring background extra on the show, she discovers she is unexpectedly good at it. Better still, her old crush and former boss Will Bowen is writing the scripts, which means a great deal of quality flirting over the craft services table.

It is a full-length, standalone romantic comedy with a happy ending and no cliffhanger, kept firmly at a PG-13 heat level. The series continues with the same cast of friends around the Passion Medical set.
