The Romulans, known as the Rihannsu, are preparing for war against the Federation, armed with revolutionary Sunseed technology capable of destabilizing stars. Their target: Earth's sun. This offensive coincides with a growing Romulan revolution, led by Commander Ael t'Rllaillieu, who has allied with Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise and a Federation physicist. As Earth faces imminent destruction, an armada races towards the Romulan homeworld for a decisive battle that will determine the future of the Rihannsu people.
