Overall, I enjoyed the story. I liked the banter, I liked how something silly turned into something real.
However, I was floored when Daphne takes advantage of drunk Simon. And the fact that she didn't think it was a big deal.
While it's hard to tell time passing in the book, it did say they were together for 14 days before the above incident and then spent two months apart after. Frankly, that was believable because what she did was atrocious. BUT - when he comes back and they never talk about it. It's just la-di-da everything's ok. And he's suddenly no longer consumed by daddy issues? - it just didn't add up. I mean, people spend YEARS in therapy getting over childhood trauma but he spends 2 months away and suddenly he's over it? And he forgives her for this awful thing with barely a shrug?
Meh.
