The Dragon Knight
The eighth book in James A. Owen's Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica. Rather than continuing the main sequence, it gathers several linked stories inside a new framing narrative — including "The Littlest Knight and the Last Dragon," "Mr. Tummeler's Grand Day Out," and the long-awaited novella "The Thin Man and the Queen of Stars" — and reveals the true story of how John, Jack, and Charles first became Caretakers of the Imaginarium Geographica. Readable at either end of the original seven-book series, or anywhere in between.
It's different in shape from the rest of the series. Rather than a single continuous novel, The Dragon Knight is a new framing story wrapped around several linked pieces — including the short stories "The Littlest Knight and the Last Dragon" and "Mr. Tummeler's Grand Day Out," and the novella "The Thin Man and the Queen of Stars" — along with the true account of how John, Jack, and Charles became Caretakers. Author James A. Owen has said it can be read at either end of the original seven-book run, or anywhere in between.
