Synopsis

The fourth book in The Doctor's Wife series. The doctor is dead, and now his daughter wants revenge. Evelyn was the child born of a fateful affair between Doctor Drew Devlin and his mistress, Alice Richardson, and her father was murdered by Fern, his wife, after the affair came to light. Raised in a windswept seaside village, Evelyn grew up entangled in her mother's fears and the fragmented memories of a past she was never allowed to fully understand. As an adult, armed at last with the secrets of her father's tragic fate and the painful truth about her family, she recognises her own resemblance to the man she never knew. Determined to reclaim her identity and expose the sinister forces that shattered her family, she sets out to confront the woman responsible for destroying their lives. A twist-laden psychological thriller that brings the saga of the Devlin family to a surprising and satisfying conclusion.
