Synopsis

Deirdre Gower finds herself in a difficult position: she cannot marry her fiancé, Lord Belami, if her aunt is proven to be a murderer. The Duchess is suspected of poisoning Lord Dudley with arsenic, but others may also have wanted to silence the old man before he could change his will. Deirdre must uncover the truth behind the death while navigating the complexities of Regency society and her own heart.
