Ed Brubaker (born November 17, 1966, in Bethesda, Maryland) is an American comic book writer, cartoonist and screenwriter working primarily in crime fiction. He gained wide recognition at DC Comics for Batman, Catwoman and Gotham Central (co-created with Greg Rucka), then moved to Marvel, where he relaunched Captain America and introduced the Winter Soldier storyline.
