This is the first time I read a book by Joe Abercrombie, I had high expectations and he delivered. This book was a DELIGHT! I loved it!!!! This is probably the best character driven plot I've ever read, it was intense, weird, unexpected, witty, hilarious as well, and whenever I thought that the plot was gonna dwindle, Joe Abercrombie's imagination proves me wrong. A league of monsters (The Devils) were sent in a holy mission, and they are a very unholy group for any type of holiness. It's a medieval fantasy, (I adore medieval tales), it's adventurous, always surprising, and like I said, whenever I think that it can't get better, it actually does!!
This book was an amazing experience!
