The Devil Wears Scrubs
Synopsis
Jane McGill is a brand-new doctor, and her first month of internship at County Hospital is going badly. She is sleep-deprived, perpetually on call, and assigned to Dr. Alyssa Morgan, a senior resident who runs her team on humiliation and appears to have decided Jane is the weakest link.
Between difficult patients, an on-call room she cannot escape, and a surgeon who is far too charming to be good for her, Jane spends the month wondering whether she will finish the year with her sanity intact.
Freida McFadden, herself a physician, wrote this short comedic novel long before her psychological thrillers. It is the first of two books following Jane McGill and reads as medical humour rather than suspense.
