The Darkest Evening

On a snowy winter night, Detective Inspector Vera Stanhope gets lost and discovers an abandoned car with a toddler inside. Seeking help, she arrives at Brockburn, a grand but decaying house where her father grew up, now hosting a lively Christmas party. Unbeknownst to the revelers, a woman lies dead in the snow outside.
