Thank you to Peachy Keen and Nikki St. Crowe for the opportunity to read an Arc of The Dark One.
The Dark One is yet another great installement in the Vicious Lost Boys series. I adored the first book and I loved this one as well. I was very glad that this book continued right where the last one finished because it made jumping back into the world easy and didn't feel drawn out.
I was so happy when I saw that this book centered more around Vane - even though all of the men in Winnies circle are deliciously bad, Vane is just next level! I honestly wish that we saw more of his grit and domineering in this book. I felt that once Winnie had finally broke past his hard exterior she had almost tamed him a bit too much. He no longer, to me at least, had the dominating atmosphere he had before. However, I must admit, Winnie's teasing towards him was adorable and made my heart melt.
I did really enjoy this book and rate it a solid 4.5! I honestly wish there was more too it, I think I could spend hours, even days, lost in the dark world of Nikki St. Crowe's Neverland - its haunting and mysterious, while also maintaining the magical excitement that Neverland conjures!
